Communicating Sun Safety to New Zealanders
The key audience is children 12 and under and their caregivers.
A range of activities seeks to:
- Raise the perception of the threat posed by UVR
- Increase knowledge and the ability to perform sun protective behaviours.
Activities include:
A key focus is SunSmart Week, which takes place during the second full week of November and is used to prompt positive behaviour change as summer approaches and risks from UVR increase.
